Dr Giulia D’Anna

Dr Giulia D’Anna graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and established her own dental practice in 1998. Her interest in facial aesthetics developed naturally from her work in dentistry, facial anatomy and patient-centred treatment planning.

This led to extensive postgraduate study in cosmetic injectables, dermal science and head and neck anatomy. Rather than focusing solely on individual techniques, Giulia became increasingly interested in how anatomy, facial proportions, ageing and movement interact to influence treatment decisions.

Over the years, she has continued to combine clinical practice with education. The treatments and techniques she teaches are informed by the same principles she applies when assessing and treating patients in her own practice.

Dermal Distinction Academy grew from that experience: an education model designed to give health practitioners more than a series of injection points to memorise. Training places emphasis on understanding anatomy, recognising risk, assessing the individual patient and developing considered treatment plans.
